Hello and welcome to the world of learning to drive.  You have taken the first, important step so why not continue on the journey?  Today, just as it has been for several decades, being able to drive is a very important life skill.  Living in such a beautiful and rural area like South Lakeland especially so.

One of my primary aims is to make learning to drive FUN.  If you are not enjoying what you are doing then your learning will suffer as a consequence.  For twenty years I have been involved in teaching (and am a qualified teacher) whether it has been outdoor education or delivering a literacy hour in the classroom.  I felt passionate about my teaching then and nothing has changed as I endeavour to use those teaching skills to create a new breed of extra safe and competent drivers.

Along with fun, safety is at the forefront of my teaching with emphasis on learning to drive well, competently, confidently and with great awareness and anticipation skills of other road users.  When all this is in place we will turn our attention to the ‘driving test’, knowing that the hard work has been done.
